First take your delicious plum and slice in into two halves. The amount of the plums I am using here is 20 plums. Do not forget to remove the plum kernels. To have the caramel flavor in your plums filling, you have to add sugar and the beat type for best results with deserts is the brown sugar.

Add your plums’ halves into a deep bowel and add the brown sugar over it. Along with the brown sugar add few amount of apple cider, lime and lemon juice about 2 tea spoon of cider, 2 tea spoon of lime. With few drop of vanilla extract to give it the flavor.

Leave the plum filling aside for a while to give it the time to be caramelised. The more time you leave it to be soaked in the sugar , the stronger taste you will get. If you are in hurry you can leave it for 10 minutes while you are preparing the dough.

In a bowl add the raw oats and butter. and with your lovely hand mix them well together. You can use mixer but I prefer to mix it with my hands so the oats will not be broken or becomes very sof or becomes powder. Then add the 2 table spoon of brown sugar, slat, 1 table spoon backing powder and 2 table spoon cinnamon powder. Again with your tender hands mix the oats mixer till all the dough ingredients are mixed pretty good together.

Your plum fillings and the dough are ready now for backing. In a medium tray add half of your oat dough in the bottom in the tray. Make sure that all the bottom are full from your dough. Then add your filling as a second layer in the same tray. If you found some caramel sauce coning from your plums you have to add it while you add your plums over the dough. Now, add the rest of your dough over the plums filling.

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp backing powder
  • salt
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon powder
  • 2 cup raw oats
  • 200 gram butter
Plum Fillings:
  • 20 plums
  • 2 tbsp apple cider
  • 1 tbsp lime ( limon sauce )
  • 1/2 limon juice
  • vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Direction:

  • Preheat the oven at 200 c.
Prepare Plum Filling:
  • cut the plum into halves.
  • Add
    • 2 tbsp apple cider
    • 1 tbsp lime ( limon sauce )
    • 1/2 limon juice
    • vanilla extract
    • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • Mix all the previous ingredients over the plum halves and mixed well together.
  • Set the mixture aside and prepare your dough.
  • Leave your plum for 10 minutes so the sugar gives you a caramelized taste.
Dough:
  • In a bowel add all the toping ingredients (cinnamon powder, salt, brown sugar, backing powder, oats and butter)
  • Mix all the ingredients well together, you can use you hand to mix them.

In a medium tray add half of your oats dough in the bottom of the tray and as a second layer add your plum filling, and spreed it in the bottom of the tray. Then, on the top of plum filling add the rest of the oats dough.

Backing:
  • The plum crisp is cooked on 200c degree in the oven.
  • cooking time 25 on oven covered with aluminum foil so its dough will not burn out without fully cooked.
  • Then remove the aluminum foil and cook for 15 minutes.
  • When the top of your plum crisp becomes golden, it means it is baked well.
